Natural stone brings warmth to the interior design of a contemporary penthouse apartment in Brno, the second largest city in the Czech Republic. Our Multicoloured Asia Slate, STONEPANEL™ Multicolor and STONEPANEL™ Black Slate Thin Set were chosen by the architect Radan Blažek for wall and floor decoration in the living room, the bathroom and the exterior terrace.
Natural stone is a nice idea for living spaces because it transmits an elegant style. The Czech company Motec provided CUPA STONE natural stone for this project, completed in 2015. The architect used natural stone to create different spaces inside this open concept house. The walls of the dining room are clad in STONEPANEL™ Black Slate Thin Set, around a contemporary fireplace. The traditional black slate with dark and brown tones adds a touch of character to the interior walls of the house. It fits in well with the wooden furniture of the apartment, creating a sleek and modern look.
A strong and sobre style
The living room gets a strong and sobre style thanks to STONEPANEL™ Multicolor, a natural stone panel made of brown reddish stone combined with darker and lighter tones. This type of material brings warmth to the interior cladding of this penthouse. A total relax bathroom
The walls of the bathroom were decorated using STONEPANEL™ Black Slate Thin Set and Multicoloured Asia Slate, a multicolour brown slate with blue and rusty shapes with a size of 60×30 cm. The combination of these stones adds both warmth and total relax to this room. White walls accentuate the refined style used to decorate this house. This penthouse apartment has both a terrace and a balcony that can offer beautiful quiet moments under the Brno sun. The floor benefits from slip resistance, beauty and strength of the Multicoloured Asia Slate.
